Useful info about Willunga Farmers Market

Market Map

Whilst from time to time stallholders move location, our Market Map will assist you to navigate the Market, find your favourite stalls and visit new ones.  Please do not hesitate to ask at the Information Stall if you are looking for a particular product or stall.

Willunga has many free street parking spaces. On most market dates the Alma Hotel has a Lions-run-gold-coin donation car park on the pub grounds. On days when no sporting events are being played, there is often an opportunity to park in the recreation ground opposite the Town Square (gold coin donation to Willunga Rec Park Redevelopment fund).

Dogs at the Market

Willunga Farmers Market has investigated the presence of dogs at the Market from a food standards perspective, health and safety, and liability issue. In conclusion, we are pleased to welcome you and your dog to the Market and hope you have an enjoyable experience while shopping here.

To help others enjoy their experience please:

  • keep your dog on its lead and under your control at all times
  • clean up any dog feces left by your dog
  • do not allow your dog to enter into a stall space as this is a food market
  • be especially careful around young children eating food
  • Note that under the Cat and Dog Act you are responsible and personally liable for your dog’s actions in a public space.

There is an ATM in the heart of the market, located on the steps to the Willunga Digital Hub at the St Peter’s Tce entrance. There is also an ANZ ATM machine in Willunga High St (outside of The General Store) and a privately operated machine in the Alma Hotel.

EFTPOS facilities

A growing number of our stallholders (including the WFM Information Stall) offer EFTPOS / electronic payment facilities at their stall.

Extreme Weather

The Willunga Farmers Market will open every Saturday unless advised by the CFS or SES that a catastrophic weather event will negatively impact on our ability to trade safely.

Market management may close the market early (not before 11 am) in the event of extreme weather conditions (eg if the weather forecast for Noarlunga is over 38C.) In the event of early closure, patrons will be notified via the WFM website and social media.

Willunga, The Market Town

On the second Saturday of each month, Willunga Quarry Market is held.

The Willunga Artisans Market is held every second Saturday of each month in the old Showhall opposite the Town Square.

Explore High Street Willunga!  A number of local businesses extend the WFM Membership discount on Saturday mornings.

Uncover the stories behind the bronze plaques along High Street with information from the Willunga National Trust.

We have 3 busking areas at the farmers market, where musicians and artists can perform free of charge. If you wish to perform please make sure you have filled out an indemnity form (either for yourself or as a guardian) at the information stall and then book your time. Busking sessions are in 1-hour slots on a ‘first in’ basis. Advance bookings are advisable. We have just two rules, NO amplification, and NO drums.

Public toilets can be found in the middle of the market, in Kell Street.

Adelaide Showground Farmers’ market

Adelaide Showground Farmers Market

Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market is a not-for-profit organization which provides selling facilities for local producers every Sunday 09:00 – 01:00 PM, the first market was held on 2nd October 2006 in the historic Royal Adelaide Showgrounds with the indoor stalls set up in the Beef Cattle Pavillion. When you shop at the market you support small family farms, agricultural diversity and fresh, seasonal food. Entry is FREE with an average of 90 stalls each week, changing with the seasons and around 6,000 visitors every Sunday

All produce must be grown and made in South Australia (there are exemptions for things like coffee and rice that are not grown locally)

Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market is open 9am – 1pm every Sunday on Leader St, Wayville. Market facilities include indoor and outdoor stalls, shelter, parking, bike racks, toilets and ATMs.

The stalls are run and manned by the people who grow the food, a great chance to talk to local farmers about the food we grow in South Australia, enjoy breakfast, lunch or a really good cup of coffee.
