Box For 1: 5 types of cheese, fruit pasts, dry fruits, crackers and Lavosh.(see picture)
This wine is the perfect start for your experience, alone or with friends. You can use it as “aperitivo” and keep going up for at least two cheeses with no issues. It might lose a bit of its pairing with medium-hard, hard, and definitely not working with the blue cheese, but generally, when you get at that the bottle is already gone.
This white wine can also be your “aperitivo” if you do not want to celebrate with bubbles, chill it down and enjoy it from the soft to the hard cheeses, it won’t disturb you. Keep in mind it doesn’t have the body but a livelly and fragrant acidity which will help to counterbalance greasiness and minerality definitelly required for the majority of the experience.
1 Bottle – Dolcetto di Dogliani DOCG: (Dolcetto)
This is the “play wine” for the experience… not the ones that go well with everyone but definitely fun to have and to play with. Hard cheeses are its friends and you can enjoy it with almonds, crackers, and combinations. I advise figs past, cracker, and just a hint of blue cheese. Be careful however, its tannins are quite nasty with the soft/light cheese.
1 Bottle – Moscato di Sardegna DOC: (Moscato) 0.50 cl
This natural sweet wine from Sardinia has the aromaticity, the body, and the vibrant acidity to be the last of the tour. It definitely marries the “blue” dry fruits, crackers, and fruit pasts. Think of it as your dessert.
Wine is bottled under cork, pls. provide to yourself a corkscrew or bottle opener.
